OH is thinking of getting a new car. The glossy brochure gives the MPG but I know there is a website that gives a TRUE figure. Anyone know what it's called. TIA

Try googling "Honest John"
Generally you will be lucky to get better than the 'combined' figure. This should help

Thank you both!
My car was advertised with mpg at 74, in reality it does approx 56. I think the figures are calculated using a rolling road, no turning, no braking, no accelerating etc?
Each driver controls the car differently, it depends on the driver and his right foot.

Does the Real MPG Average , on the Honest John Site , relates to a mixture of Round the town and Motorway driving ?
New?! I'd be more worried about the serious wonga she's going to lose driving it away than a couple of MPG!
