I'm glad to be tucked up indoors as it sounds like the wind is picking up a lot outside! Luckily I think my area is going to miss the brunt of this storm approaching but still not looking forward to getting into work on Monday.
Put some food out for the hedgehogs earlier so hoping the little fellas can get to it.
The storm is avoiding us all together, I had some of hubbies work colleagues round for lunch with short notice and managed to pull together a 3 course meal that was not too bad even if I do say so myself!
I will try not to spoil your good mood by spreading my doom and gloom state of mind.
I have been stuck in the house all week due to a "bug" and have only had Frankie an Merlin to talk to. Frankie is hiding from me as he is due to get his inhaler treatment. Merlin is downstairs because I snarled at her earlier.
I am planning on admitting defeat and shall go to my bed.
Hi Eve....fine here bar an allergy to new knicker elastic so I am standing up a lot...knew I should have stuck to the no VPL.....no elastic in those and I look like I have been sitting in an ants nest.....I did that once too...on a romantic date with a hunk....Went from lounging seductively on the tartan rug to charging round a field like a maniac in ten seconds flat.
Will use the standing opportunity to decorate the dining room for Halloween dinner while dancing to some rock and roll....the wine is open if you hadn't guessed.....x
Oh dear! The wind is picking up here. Time to batten down the hatches or, in my case, to check the kennel doors. The big dogs could do without the doors banging all night, but they like them open so they can use their run.
Time to find a torch and some wire, methinks.
All of our hatches battened down, garden furniture put away, flower pots stood down against the wall and we're settled in for the night. Just wish there were something in the TV to watch, but we have a couple of things recorded, we'll watch those.
It's hammering it down outside here now and very windy! Had a fair bit of thunder lately too. I think I need to buy me that torch! I feel for you all down south, doesn't look like it's going to be a nice couple of days!
Oh dear tambo, I used to find they always had that rather smug look on their faces after killing something!
Oh Gness, bless you haha! I think you should keep that wine flowing :) Does that mean you have to go commando all the time! :O
I have no exciting news either! I think the only thing of any interest (!) I've done today was to have my flu jab! I finished my book and that's about it really!
I'm watching Atlantis then it's probably off to bed for me. Am itching to watch another episode of Scandal though. Some friends were going on about it and now I'm hooked too!
Mmmmmm, exciting news, well I will have to go and chance all of my aunties clocks for her tomorrow !.
And it looks like I will probably be going to work in a hurricane Monday morning ( leave at 5.20am) looks like the West Mids is in the zone !.
Ah yeah, need to remember to do all my clocks! Am going to be making the most of that extra hour :)
Do be careful Monday morning! I'll be out of the house for my first bus not long after - I have a sneaking suspicion that an umbrella won't be too much use!
I think you should change your name to Lucy Lastic, gness lol.
Will try and be careful Monday morning Eve, hope I don't have to avoid fallen trees, fence panels , sheds and house roofs in the road !.
Here at Nungate Towers we are well now! Except that Mr Nungate is in the dog house. Silly beggar only l his wallet and I have spent most of this afternoon cancelling his bank/credit cards!
