On a broader note, it's not just Christians, but all the major religions can't seem to let it go?
Why?

Given that this couple have decided to take offence at their server's perceived 'lifestyle' I wonder what led them to the conclusion that he was gay?
Would they presume Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen is gay, or Lionel Blair. or David Walliams? All are camp in their behaviour, but all are heterosexual.
So unless the server knocked off serving to French-kiss the construction worker on the next table, how did they 'know' he was gay?
Unpleasant behaviour, and I trust this couple will not be welcome at this establishment in the future.
How on earth they think they can go through life expelling poisonous invective like this is a mystery - they must see it as their right as Christians.

/// Christian bigots come in all shades, as we know from the evil spouted in a number of African countries ///
Interesting to note that you are always ready to focus on Christian bigots, but you regularly refrain from criticising the Muslim bigots, who go much more further in their condemnations of homosexuals.

Actually that's nonsense AOG...don't you recall the thread about the Muslim lad who posted the 'No Gay Zone' stickers in London's East End?
Incidentally, I find it quite illuminating that your only interest in this thread is to attempt to point out what you see as hypocrisy.
Can we assume that you condemn these Christian bigots, or does your internet genuinely lay elsewhere?

Yes, I've just double checked - you haven't answered my original question.
Does it not interest you? Why do you think that so many who follow the main faiths have such an anti-gay agenda, and do you think this Christian couple were within their rights to use the language they did on the tip sheet at this restaurant?

/// You're incorrect about the forthcoming Marriage Equality Bill. ///
/// Only the Catholic and Anglican churches are excluded from being able to marry same sex couples. ///
/// Non-denomination faiths are free to. ///
Stop accusing me of being incorrect.
Read what I put again, I did not say anything about any specific church.
*** No, the law says they can marry, but it does not say that the church has to allow them to marry on their premises. ***

Youre kidding right?

/// In some ways it seems to. We've talked on other threads about gay people not being allowed to marry in church. The law says yes, the Christians say no. And win. ///
No, the law says they can marry, but it does not say that the church has to allow them to marry on their premises.
The conversation was about Christians.
So you were (again) incorrect.
Regarding black and coloured. As I've said before (so many, many, many times) in the UK, 'coloured' is considered outdated, and only really used by older people to refer to black people.
Younger people use the word 'black'.
Is that sufficient as an answer?
