Trimming normal sim card

I have just bought a new nokia lumia not knowing it uses a micro sim instead of the normal size. I know it's possible to trim the sim cards to make them smaller for I phone 4's and iPad 's but can it be done for the nokia lumia! The tips online only suggest it's for the iPhone.

I've tried ringing orange but they refused to give me one

Have a look on e bay seems that they sell cutters for a small price that will trim your sim card so that it fits your Nokia, as some of the adverts say "for I Phone, pad and other micro slim phones " you,should be ok.

The SIM needs to be the same size regardless of which phone it's used in.

ChuckFickens, how can that be? so what is a micro sim and why are sim cutters available?

I must say I have never seen a different size sim myself.
