Opening A Us Based Account From The Uk

I would really appreciate help and advice on opening a US bank account while based here in the UK. So with 'routing' number etc.

Is it at all possible?

I've got a US dollars account already with Barclays but it's based here. I've also contacted Citibank and HSBC here in the UK but to no avail.

Don't know the answer, but you'll need to contact an American bank in the US to find out. The UK offices will consider what you've already got adequate
