About 3 weeks ago I slipped on a wet wooden floor and went flying, smashing down on my right knee. The pain was excruciating. Now even though I can walk about and bend it perfectly fine, if I even attempt to kneel down ie put any kind of weight on it, the pain is indescribable. It literally feels as though I am trying to kneel on broken glass. I forgot about it and whilst out yesterday I leant into car to get something of passenger seat, without thinking I automatically went to kneel on the seat with my right knee and the second my knee touched the seat - I literally screamed out load, the pain was that bad.
What on earth could I have done , when I seem to be able to walk about perfectly fine??
I know that pain, smow - I had it when I knocked my knee some months back. I didn't do anything about it, and it got better in time. I agree, it feels like a shard of glass in your joint.
I had the same symptom, feeling as if kneeling on glass last year, after a knock. It got better on its own after a few months without any treatment.
I thought it was more likely to be due to tendinitis rather than bursitis as there was no swelling or local tenderness.
