HI

the beeping noise that happens when i open the car door while the lights are on no longer works, also the interior light when i open the car door has stopped working also, are these 2 things connected? and is it expensive to fix?

My first guess would be to check the relevant fuse.
Has the door switch stuck? Has the interior light been switched off?

It is more than likely to be a sticking switch. Does the interior light come on when you open doors other than the drivers door. Not a difficult thing to fix.

Methyl is right but I would add that when you press the switch in you should let it 'flick ' out quickly so it has a better chance of reaching it's contact point. Doing it several times quickly will often bring it back to life.
