Looks as though he is heading for bypass heart surgery and yes, speedy recovery.
I was never a fan of his, but he is very popular, particularly with animal lovers.

Yes, it's a pity he's "hung up the frocks", as Danny la Rue put it. Lily Savage was a great comic creation, a bitchy, down to earth, woman of a type we could all recognise, just as we all recognise Edna Everage as a type. But he probably found being her too restricting.

He seems a really nice man, and I'm sure we all wish him well.

He is having surgery today so I do wish him well, but he does seem to have been doing to much the past few months, and fags don't help.

I think Eamon Holmes should take note, as he is on TV all the time it seems!

I cant even remember the last time i watched him, i'm sure hes very good at whatever it is he still does (comedt !?) and I do hope he makes a full recovery.
