Hey Guys, My Little One

came home from school today and she said she has no friends, she is 6. I asked her why she feels like that, she said when she asks kids to be her friends, they say no. I told her she should just join in play with them and make friends that way, she said she is told to go away.

It broke my heart when she said that when other kids are playing with their friends, she walks around the playground all alone.

I intend to mention this to her teacher, so they can encourage her and others to interact, what else can I do? I am so concerned now, I feel so bad to be honest, that she feels like this, and only mentioned it to me today.

She said she has had no friends since start of new school term (sept).

What would you do to help matters?

Go and see her teacher in the morning, they are usually fab at sorting things like this out and might even tell you that she does actually have friends, x

Do see her teacher. Little one may be feeling anxious about the new baby. Needs lots of reassurance as I am sure you already know. Is it possible to ask her teacher who may be closest to her at school and invite her/him to tea? Sometimes it is difficult at any age to realise who your friends are.

I agree- speak to her teacher. It is likely to be that she does have some friends, but maybe was left out or felt left out at some point. Is she with the same children as she was last term, at all?

Yes, speak to teacher.... My daughter used to tell me the same and when I spoke to her teacher, she told me that my daughter played with all the children every playtime!

She is in a new class and at the start she said she had friends but now they dont want to play with her. She has one friend from the first time she started that school snd sees her at playtime, but this little friend now has new friends because they are not in the same class. Oh im really worried. I will dpeak to her teacher at home time today and see what they say. Thank u all x
