It seems to be a site for free listings/advertisements, something like Gumtree or Vivastreet.

They seem to be quite big in the States Dave. I believe there was even some victims of murders who were found by the murderer on Craigslist - it's all pretty vague to me as I can never exactly remember where I've heard about it.

It's a purely American thing. I would ignore it Dave, it is very likely spam or a phishing attempt.

Yes indeed methyl - I quite liked the 'You will be prompted to choose a password as soon as you log in' idea.

So many sites default to your email as a username, so many people use the same password for every site ... so much potential for disaster ...
