They`ve got the turkeys in Sainsburys. The Norfolk Blacks are approx £60, the Bronze are £44 and the regular ones are £30. Is there really much difference in taste?

We went for a turkey crown from Aldi (£20).

I saw that Aldi had whole turkeys too £25 I think. I think that`s a new thing this year.
We have a Morrisons Crown for the last few years, does Christmas Day and Boxing Day dinners for 3 of us with some leftover.
We always had supermarket own ready basted which never let us down.
Then we tried free range, bronze, super duper, etc., etc. And then goose.
Of all of them, the supermarket own ready basted have been the tastiest, no fuss cooking, and if I ever stuff another turkey (I'm hoping I won't) then it will be one of those.
Personally I wouldn't waste my money on any other.
They're all overpriced and tasteless. Have beef instead.

Beef - yuk, I hardly ever eat red meat. Think I might try the Bronze and it has to be Sainsburys because want to use Nectar points.
I have bought my turkey today from my local butcher. It is just a turkey breast roast (not a crown, no bones) because none of us like legs. There is enough to feed about 15 people and it cost £33. Biggest advantage is that it cooks pretty quickly, no getting up at daft o'clock to put the turkey in the oven on Christmas Day for me!
