Anyone having a go at this - giving up alcohol for January, to raise funds for Cancer Research? Nibble's just signed up - more power to your redundant elbow, Nibs! xx

Nope. How does it work though? Do you put the money that you would have spent on wine in a charity pot?

Well that's one of the ways to join, also Nibble has went with the being sponsored to do it, with them setting up a Just Giving page.
I give to charity, but I refuse to give up my nightcap.
i don't mind sending them the money i would have spent but i can't think of anyone who will sponsor me. not going to get much are they.
Well I suppose a lot of people plan to give up alcohol for January so if you are going to do it, you might as well do it for charity. On my birthday in July, I give to my local cancer unit (I shouldn`t have to as that should be government funded but hey-ho) so I don`t think I will do the Dryathlon. It`s certainly a good cause though.
Well, I couldn't do it before Jan 1st could I? ...................

Great idea :) I don't drink much at all and rarely go out nowadays and go many months without any alcohol so would feel a bit of a cheat doing it for charity myself but going to see if any of my friends who do drink more regularly are going to do it for charity.
