Wireless Weather Station

I have purchased a Smart wireless weather station and I cannot seem to change the outdoor temp from Fahrenheit to centigrade, please can anyone help ??

On mine, which I got a Christmas, there's a switch inside the battery compartment. Oregon scientific one.

There's usually a button somewhere, could be on the back. Did you not get an instruction leaflet. I've had two of these and they are great but both very complicated to set up, even with instructions.

Oregon Scientific are without doubt the best IMO.

I bought my dad one 20 years ago and it's still going strong hence why I chose mine. I had difficulty with the automatic clock which was one hour ahead but then I read the instructions more thoroughly and found a switch also inside the battery compartment.

definitely no switch ! we do have an instruction book but it does not say how to change from F to C

Usually on these sort of things you havea mode button where you have to scroll thru to find the setting you want. Could that be the case in this instance?

What make and model is it perose? Maybe the manual's available on line. Presumably it's not a US model where they don't bother with centigrade??

It does say that it shows F or C but it will not change !

Have you Googled it to see if there's more info than your booklet gives?

Could be a mode button or similar where you change things?

Looking online, I note that the manual for e.g. model 1280 makes no mention of how to change from °F to °C even though it's specified to display either.. Go here for manuals, or to contact the manufacturers and shout at them!...

In case you want to change it in the future:-

Looking at the manual listed above, I have a similar looking weather station of a different make. For toggling the display from F to C you hold down the MAX-MIN button for three seconds and it will change from F to C or C to F, depending on what it was when you started.
