Liquids In Hand Baggage

Not a question but just a bit of information for readers because recently I did wonder about this one myself. There was a plan to by now have equipment in place throughout the EU to allow any liquids in any quantity in hand baggage but the deadline was postponed. I have now learned that in some countries, including outside the EU, trial scanning using new equipment will begin at the end of this month with a view to removing all restrictions by the end of 2016, subject to satisfactory results of the trials. I don't know if these trials are also taking place in the UK.
