Toshiba Laptop
3 Answers
I am trying to reset my laptop to factory settings and a message comes on the screen when it is starting up stating, Boot your computer and Press F8, etc. to reset your computer back to factory settings. I thought that when it says boot your computer, it means restart it but when I press F8 it doesn't work so I would be grateful if anybody knows whether there is another way to reset it to factory settings. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite.
Many thanks for any assistance you can offer me. John

Just go to the Toshiba web site and look for the "support" section and search in there for your actual laptop.
Here is one section I found, though it may not apply to your actual laptop

p.s. When pressing F8 I find sometimes you need to keep pressing F8 over and over again during start up (before Windows loads). If you only press F8 the once it can either be too early or too late.
She just KEEP pressing and releasing F8 continuously from the moment you power up the laptop.
