Whatever happened to the Irish girl pop band B'Witched?

B*Witched have taken a dodgy path since their chart success began in the UK a couple of years ago - specifically, breaking the US market, which they managed with moderate success, and writing for a new album, which is taking "longer than expected". The media enjoyed a frenzy of speculation last summer when rumours surfaced that the band were to be dropped by their record label, denied by both label and band, but the signs are not good. The band are reputed to be living in Ireland writing their next album, and some members doing presenting jobs for MTV. With the rapid turnover of modern pop acts, this delay is proving dangerously long - two prospects appear available, a much-hyped return, if possible, or quietly fading into obscurity, with the second option looking increasingly likely.
