Pointless And Steph On Bbc Breakfast

Am I the only person on the planet who can't stand Pointless any more. Such endless praise churned out by AA to contestants etc.
And that business! journalist Steph... Talk about dumbing down.
Rant over.

Haven't done it, as I'm still trying to spend the £10,000 I won on Pointless (and as my brother and I often say, the show just shows how thick some people are!). Anyway, if anyone wants to apply the e mail address is

I love Pointless - I like joining in and love the chitchat between Alexander and Richard. Fifteen to 1 was a great quiz show - over the Christmas period there was a celeb version with an aussie (I think) chap asking the question, the set was all glitzy and not as nice and simple as it was years ago. Jonathan Ross - who I can't stand - was actually quite good, Fern Britton (another one I can't stand) was also good, on the whole the questions were ok even though the celebs were as usual over the top!
Ah yes. Steph. How those regional accents degrade the whole presentation. Duck. I say bring it on. I'm tired of listening to boring Oxbridge Bill all morning. And regional accents for regional programmes would make the news far more watchable than it is now. And, by the way, the BBC news dumbs down everything it presents, no searching questions to politicians, no vivid images of the atrocities of war. the truth about finance, why we can't criticise despotism and political torture in Saudi in case it ruins our relationships, etc, etc.....rant not over
Poor you ethelburga how sad you have to suffer Steph. I suppose your point being that because she has a 'regional' accent she somehow dumbs down the business news? She's a clever lady, far from dumb, and, thank goodness, does not try to change her voice to suit the 'elocution lessons' brigade. We 'oop North' do have intelligence and brains y'know.
