Phone call from hospital at 7 am, is everything in place for Mic to come home. Yes I told you this yesterday." He is ready just waiting for ambulance, should be home within the hour." they said.
After many more phone calls from them about lifting and carrying he arrived home at 2 ish.
Mic is/was a man's man but when he cried on coming home I was so upset I cried too. Ain't life a bitch at times. Carers have been coming and going all day my house feels like a market place. Mic is now asleep and I will be after a warm bath and a B&C. Just dawned on me I haven't had a fag since he came home.
Oh good news, Jeza, you have him at home, no long driving for you each day, I know it'll will seem like Rundle Street in rush hour [ as we say here ] but .....he's home, love to you both xx
So pleased Mic is home at last....you must take full advantage of any help available though jeza....if you get pooped then you'll be no good to mice nor man...xxx
Great news!
Carers can be a pain at times (FIL has 'em 4 times a day, and one is always presenting us - who are 3+ hours away - with lists of things he needs, and we then have to pay the Tesco delivery charge umpteen times).
Just remember they're there to help, and take advantage of the respite they provide.
