I have an Acer Aspire One 722(Windows 7),which I would like to update the drivers etc.
How do I do this and how do I know which ones are for my netbook?
Unless you have a specific problem I'd leave well alone - it's all to easy to download the wrong driver and find that something useful has stopped working ...
Unless you have a specific problem, why fix what's not broken?
Always get your drivers from your manufacturers support website. Third party's do not always contain the latest drivers an are not always honest about what else is included in their downloads.
The reason why I want to make sure all my drivers are up to date is last time I was in Cape Town,I couldn`t get my netbook to connect to the WiFi there, yet my daughters both could. So I wondered if a driver was out of date or something.I am going back in March so thought I would check it out beforehand.
The link posted in your previous message only displays the support site and no actual available driver details.
I notice that on checking for the Acer Aspire AO772 model (which I assume is your model), there are 3 different Wireless Drivers depending on what Wifi card is installed in the netbook and they are all dated 2011. Based on that date you may already have the most up to date installed
When you Input the serial number of your netbook I would expect the returned info to display the correct wireless driver for your actual netbook. Is that not the case?
That`s what I thought being as I bought it in May`13.
When I enter S/N says "Service not Available.
Yet can use SNID number. That is when the link I put shows up.
