i want to sue the army

i was injured 10 yrs ago whilst serving in the army and have tried to sue them twice since leaving without sucess as my medical records go missing. my truck turned over dislocating my knee. secondly i was sent to bosnia and i have been on the sick with combat stress syndrome for years now. is it possible to sue the army after this lenth of time?

yep, Ward~Minter is correct, your records are indeed kept on computer file, its called "pampas" the Manning + Records Office in Imphal Barracks, York will have them.
I dealt with battle shock a number times on casualties, it's quite different from PTSD which comes back months or years after the event. Battle shock is a temporary psychological disorder which if recognised by a competant commander is easily treated,

In answer to whether it is too late to sue , yes it is and it wouldn't be the Army that you sued either, it would be the driver of the vehicle, as for the combat stress disorder, is it your current civilian doctor who has diagnosed you, or were you diagnosed before leaving the Army, if you were diagnosed before leaving then you would have got a medical dishcarge and either a lump sum or a small monthly pension depending on the severety of the complaint, if it has been from a civilian doctor then you would need to apply to the war pensions/veterans agency who would then send you for a medical to an independant doctor, depending on their advice would depend on whether you got any money or not, either way it wouldn't be suing, it would be applying for a war pension on medical grounds whislt still serving. I do sympathise with you, however, as an Amry wife of many, many years, I can't help thinking that perhaps you really did not realise what you were signing up for, perhaps with hind sight you wouldn't do the same.

I have served 22 years in the army and where I agree with some of your comments I do not believe the majority of you understand and therefore have a right to comment on this persons medical status. The army are quick to prepare you for war I.e training, what they do not take care of or train us for is the mental side of conflict. Would you turn round to someone with ptsd and say they have no right to blame conflict/war for it?? Nobody when joining any service expects to see such harsh things, and when they do all act differently. Have some compassion for someone who has served this contry for 10 years, probably more than most of u have ever accomplished or are likely to in your life!
