slope can be found by:

Slope = (one value of y minus the other value of y) divided by (one value of x minus the other value of x). So here:

slope = (5 - (-5)) / (4 - (-2)) = (5+5)/(4+2) = 10/6 = 5/3
Divide the change in height by the change in horizontal distance
