On plastic shampoo/shower gel bottles, I've noticed a circular 3D symbol with a 'lid' that shows a 12M by it. Any ideas what this means?

Its actually a 'use by' symbol - in your case use within 12 months of opening - I have seen 6 and 24. Must be a new thing - probably an EU directive!

Thanks! I'll expect my shampoo to turn mouldy then in exactly 12 months ;-)
I dont know how we got along without this previously?
I mean- our house was full of rancid shower gel before they started to tell us when to use it by!
Its like that French mineral water. Spends hundreds of years under a mountain and as soon as someone bottles it, it goes off in 3 months!
i'm sooo glad i found this!!! It's been driving me crazy for months. I thought it was something to do with the composition of the plastic. UNTILL it was on a carboard box of bath salts i bought tonight. And yes salt and dried herbs will 'go off' after '24M' so watch out.
