It's that time of year and the birds are looking for nesting boxes. My resident blue tits have been duffing up the chaffinches in their squabble over the nest boxes.

Can I just urge those of you who do not have nest boxes in your garden, to put one up, if you have the space.

Left a brick out of the garage wall while re-pointing and a platform in the roof space. The robins live in old walking boots and the platform will sound like the 3rd World War has broken out come Spring.
Tilly - it was reduced from aout £40 to £20 but that was in the middle of adult. If I spot anymore I will let you know, your might get lucky as Aldi seems to be selling outdoor/garden stuff this week.
About ^ and January (don't know what happened there).

Thank you , sherr. I would love a nest box with a camers. Are they complicated to install?
It came ready made with a very long cable - we haven't got the cable running between the two yet but you just plug one end into the outside of the box and the other into the telly.

Thank you, again, Sherr.
I've tried nest boxes but there are too many 'king cats that come into my garden. My daughter has had success in her garden including a great tit that nested in the pond filtration box.

You need a dog to keep the cats at bay, rusty.
Nice little story about the great tit. I like that.
I'm tempted by one of these type of cameras which are wireless - fun for the grandkids (or is it for me!!!!) May have to modify or build new nest box to accommodate.
