afternoon folks, anyone got Tivo?

what do you think of it & is it worth upgrading to?

Most definitely worth it, and you should definitely upgrade!

If you're watching something and miss what someone has said, you can simply rewind and listen to it again. If you want to make a cuppa during a film, just press pause, make your drink, then resume playing when you're comfortable again. You can do all that whilst the box is recording two other programmes on two different channels! Quite incredible I think.
Recording is simply a doddle, and you can easily set it to record a whole series.
I have had mine for six months now and have found it to be hugely useful and certainly worth the small extra cost.

If your contract is up, threaten to leave them like we did. I told them if I went elsewhere, I could get a new customer discount. They offered us a broadband upgrade from 20MB to 30MB and a free Tivo box, plus the monthly bill came down slightly.

excellent, getting it installed on monday, they wouldn't install for free but i got it half price and tivo service for free for 6 months, which equals free. i get netflixs free for a month as well, so i may well abuse that :-)

only think i can't get is sky atlantic which is irritating cos as much as i hate virgin i don't want to move to sky
