The game has now closed and an interesting one it was too.

The two most popular guesses were WILD WEST and LOG CABIN (they were mine too). Sadly though, neither were on the setter's radar.

I can now reveal that 'Good King John II' (aka rockfordill) was looking for the following matches:-

WEST WARD (Paulineward's cousin from the States?)
LOG BOOK
RANGE ROVER
CATTLE GRID

Despite the two most popular guesses being wrong, we still had a good distribution of points and some multiple-hitters.

Beejay1124 kicked off with an immediate 2 points for CATTLE GRID along with Roslyn251254 and Tearinghair.

Roslyn then went on to take the second link of RANGE ROVER for another 2 points along with Tearinghair.

And just to prove she's well and truly out of the free-fall club, Tearinghair also collected 2 points for discovering LOG BOOK.

That makes her a triple-hitter with full bonuses so I have no hesitation in declaring:

The final link of WEST WARD was found by Grannydi.

Amazingly, they were all discovered within the first minute of play (9:01) so any correct guesses after 9:03 were only worth single points (no bonus).
