Has anyone else had an email from yahoo telling them they have won a million pounds? I feel it is a scam as in order to claim a lot of personal information is required including passport evidence. The source seems to be America. Please put my mind at rest before I go on a spending spree

Only a million? The widow of Col Gadaffi wanted to share millions with me. It was tainted money so I refused her kind offer.
I'm sorry to have to say this but you shouldn't go on a spree on the strength of that e-mail.
I only won $10,000 :(

Thanks everyone. I suspected as much but being a budgiebrain I wanted to be sure.
doesn't seem to be much point in my sending you a begging letter. let me know if you change your mind. if you let me have your bank account details i'll help myself and not bother you. i'm sending all best wishes just in case you have won a million.
I got the same message regarding a million pounds. I promptly replied that I wanted it in dollars as I cannot spend pounds here.
If I won a million pounds I'd go on a world cruise whilst having my house done up and buy shares in answerbank!
Are there shares in Answerbank? I want some!
If you think that the offer is too good to be true IT IS.
The last time I checked they had inflated to two and thrupence ha'penny each.
When Answerbank shares are on a par with Facebook or Google we'll all be sorry we didn't get in on the ground floor. At Two and thrupence halfpenny they still seem remarkably good value.
