that is because he has been failed spectacularly by the system, by those who should have done right by him and his family, police, justice system, and the bastards who killed him, two may be in jail, but what about the rest of them

emmie...I agree with almost everything you have said (!) but not quite sure how Stephens' family have failed him, unless I have read your post wrongly.
It is entirely possible that I did of course.
His parents have done a sterling job of the last few years, and without them nobody would be in prison for his murder.
