I want to plant some troughs with a selection of climbing plants that will give AYR interest.

They will grow against a wall that faces South but one end is shaded.

Any suggestions for climbers of similar vigour?

It might be worth having a play with this:

(PS: It took me a few moments to work out that 'AYR' stood for 'all year round. I initially thought that you wanted to brighten up the Scottish town!)
Winter flowering jasmine is evergreen and will grow in a shaded area (I had it on a north facing side of a shed). It has yellow flowers. I have an evergreen clematis (armandii) which is spring flowering and fragrant and extremely vigorous.

Thanks Chris that is a very useful link when looking for individual plants but what I really want are suggestions for compatible plants that have similar levels of vigour, i.e. I don't want a lively passionflower taking over the trellis before the honeysuckle has got going. I would like to have a nice even distribution of different plants to intermingle and give interest throughout the year.
Trachelospermum jasminoides
Pyracantha.
