Good News, Bad News.........
18 Answers
Good News, Today I won a digital radio on the local radio station.
Bad news. I paid a bill over the telephone with my debit card. They took £160 too much. They admitted it was their mistake but said it would take 3 to 5 days to give me my money back.

Some what better Mamya, but he is still very confused.
When They said they had made a mistake and taken too much, I said so if you have made me go overdrawn I take it you will pay my bank charges. At this point the girl on the phone got very upset and admitted it was her mistake. Feeling sorry for her I told her not to worry I would not go overdrawn and said don't pay the money back but knock it off next months bill. Can't do that she said I've paid someone else's bill with it.
At this point I was transferred to a supervisor.

Congrats on having won a Radio.
These big firms that hang onto money for a few days do so deliberately to make money. Just think of the amount of investment they can have with a few hundred overcharges. I remember having been told many years ago by a Bank Manager that it is possible to place money on overnight interest.
Hans.
