Does anyone know whats happened to Heston in Doctors, has he left, is that the reasons why they are employing another doctor? tia

Soaps usually have plotlines that centre on one group of characters, at the expense of others, for a period of time. So there's nothing unusual in one character not appearing on screen for a while.
