Do I use baby wipes or bottled water?
We have had no water since about 8.00pm last night. Severn Trent have a recorded message saying "A major water pipe has burst under a stream over 5 metres down. Due to it being a bank holiday they are experiencing difficulties with getting specialised equipment, but hope to restore as soon as possible"
So how do I shower? Well I mean have a wash? Don't we rely on these things so much. Had to use my bottles of water to make a cuppa. Now I think I will have to boil some up for a wash.
Have to get out soon and see if Lidl have any giant bottles left but fear they will be sold out.

well given that you can wash with baby wipes but can't make tea with them, the decision is a bit obvious!
Severn Trent should be providing free bottled 'tap water' - they have done here when we've had supply interruptions for more than an hour or so.
Use the wipes, Caran.....never know when you want a splash of water in the whiskey....☺
I'd use baby wipes just to do your 'bits'. You're hardly going to smell just because you miss a shower for one day.
Given the way that disasters seem to follow you around lately, Caran, please promise me that you won't book any flights on the same planes as me!

Anyway, there's always a simple answer to the problem of no water: Take your drinks neat!
;-)
Had this here last week, apparently there was over an hour and a half wait in the cue at Tesco for the free water, glad my neighbour went! ;-)

There was not a drop of water to be found in any shops in Cinderford. It's a good job I buy lots of bottles of water. I get through at least two litres a day.
The tales that were going round town. The reservoir had drained and it won't be fixed until the 14th was one of them. Anyhow panic over we are back on. It makes you realise how much you rely on water.
Chris I promise I will not get on the same plane as you. I don't fly anymore due to COPD.
