Epson Scan Won't Work Anymore.

I've got an Epson All-in-One SX235W printer. The printer itself works fine, but when I try to use Epson Scan I get the dialog box, saying "Cannot communicate with the scanner". The printer will copy documents OK, but having tried all help and google-speak the scanner still refuses to co-operate.
Am I missing something simple, or is it me that's simple.?
The scanner has worked perfectly in the past, and nothing has been changed by me (as far as I am aware)

The driver for the scanner (which is separate to the one for the printer) seems to have become corrupted. Reinstall it from the CD that came with the printer or, to be sure that you've got the latest version, download it (and then run the set-up file) from here:
