Is It Legal That Companys Can Charge....
17 Answers
you for canceling or not renewing their service?
Today I called BT to cancel my TV sport (I am with Sky) that I pay £10.00 a month for.
They said it would cost £16.00 to cancel, and I asked why the charge, to be told that it is normal for canceling.
Last year I cancelled my home insurance, and they wanted to charge me £31.00, which I refused to pay, even though I was receiving debt collectors letters etc, which have now stopped.
Surely its only a matter of typing a few keys on a keyboard these days, with these company's!

Obviously it isn't - the cost of providing the iphone is built into the 24 month contract period.
The same applies to any contract - whether for the provision of goods or services (or some combination of the two). The comment about 'typing a few keys' is utterly irrelevant.
