Busy Lizzies Problem

My busy lizzies seem to have some kind of very fine creeper crawling over them. No apparent roots just fine tendrils winding round the stems with little nodules.
Any ideas please?

Sounds like bindweed. It will eventually grow a white flower if unchecked! Try gently tracing the tendril back to the soil,and easily pulled out.

Thanks bunkmoreland - will try - they are in baskets so fairly easy to keep an eye on.

Based on your description, it sounds like a parasitic plant known as 'Dodder', although I've not seen this on bedding plants before.
I think this is worthy of further investigation.

chipchopper - many thanks, I think you are right, judging by the picture. We live in Bulgaria and busy lizzies grow like weeds here but these particular ones came from the local garden centre so maybe picked it up from there!
