let me think........an excellent bbc production, or a trashy soap, difficult, :)

Penelope! Surely not by choice to be missing HV for BGT?

Yes a quieter episode, thankfully, BUT Tommy's still on the loose. Chills the blood to think what might happen ...
It's really gripping. I don't know what it is with Sally Wainwright's writing, it is all so natural and just brilliant. I'm hoping he doesn't find out where the little boy is. Sarah Lancashire is first class. Wonderful.

Agree helly, she's fabulous. Especially so last night trying to come to terms with what had happened to her. And we have to see her tell Ann's father his daughter was raped. Can there possibly be a happy ending to this marvellous series??
Happy Valley is brilliant, can't wait for next week last episode, i do hope she writes some more, classy programme
Question Author
Any idea how it will end Em (no peeking):-)
she is also the writer of a programme i also loved, Scott and Bailey, she has proved to be a very special writer, as to Sarah Lancashire, she has top marks for her performance.
i think that Tommy will try and take the boy somehow, but the idea of some sort of redemption seems way off the mark, though you got a glimpse of his deep rooted anger in the way that Catherine's ex husband described him, i think that the bloke who is now on witness protection or planning to leave is going to get topped, perhaps alongside his family, by whoever has been fronting his business, the big crime boss, guess work all, its absolutely riveting for all that.
Question Author
You could well be right Em but I'm focussing on the next (final?) meeting between Tommy and Catherine. I wonder if he'll turn up at her birthday celebration when Ann and her family will be present. Tommy has nothing to lose now has he. So many ends to tie up though.
What are we going to do without it?
HV has been brilliant from start to finish - Sarah Lancashire is just so good, I have to admit I had tears in my eyes when Catherine and little Ryan cuddled after the major row. Does anyone know if there are any plans for another series of Last Tango In Halifax?
BBC News - Last Tango in Halifax gets a third series... http://bbc.in/18JksN0

LTiH and HV both so different but both just brilliant. I don't think I could pick between them. Does anybody have a favourite?

This clip from the BBC gives an insight into next week's episode of Happy Valley, the last one. I've watched it and don't think it's a spoiler but up to you if you want to have a look:-)
