It's tricky to generalise, but men get turned on like a kettle- fast to boil and quick to switch off. Women are more like an iron- takes ages to get hot, and ages to cool down! Men get turned on very easily using porn. Women are different- it has to be a "whole" experience- hence the romance and wooing thing. Women are less likely to need physical attraction as mental stimulation. For example, I would not be in the slightest bit turned on at a man with a 6 pack and big muscles. Quite the opposite infact. It is more about the PERSON. Whereas I imagine most men would be turned on by Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire.

So, whilst women are turned on by men, it is more than just a picture. Which is probably why there are less women buying gay porn than you would imagine.

Scarlett, you're right, it is tricky to generalise about these things, so it'll be interesting to see what responses I get. I'm not typically female I don't think. Don't get me wrong, the best sex I've ever had is in my current, very loving and stable relationship, so in that respect, what you say is true. However, I get turned on very easily by porn, whether it be written or spoken word, or a visual image and I'm a bit more of a kettle than an iron (love that analogy by the way!). I definitely don't need romance to feel attraction to someone. Raw, lust filled passion can exist without love...it's called lust. But you're right...it's often more than just visual. I'm as likely to get turned on by a man's laugh as I am his handsome face or perfect abs.

Two guys getting it on would definitely turn me on big style, and I like the idea of one of them being my boyfriend (perhaps the other could be Freddie Lungberg).
