Nice Experience This Afty....

Noted a reclamation yard/business.
Son 2 and I went in for a wander about and a peep.
It was amazing, many of the things looked as if they had been cleared from my great Gran's place. (I know they weren't - just generic items I suppose).
Acme wringers, marble and granite slabs. Just lovely old stuff all round.
Said to chappy there, my OH has Alzheimer's - he would love a ramble round here....chappy says "bring him in Mrs, I'll show him round whilst you put the kettle on"

I will take him for sure, Anne. I even noted a seed broadcaster in the yard, and OH was a farmer's boy from age 12.

His dad was a shoemaker, they had a whole wall of shoe lasts, and those type of irons you heat on the fire.

Jeza, OH is 75 soon, I am 67.

Thanks ferlew. Mic is just 65. Unfortunately he cannot get out and about. In fact he can't really be left alone.

That's sad Jeza, so young.
OH has physical and neurological probs. I try to keep him ticking over.
Bought him a Nook last week, he stared daggers at me if I talk to him whilst he is reading it.
I get him a word search book every week too.
Can Mic do anything?

No ferlew, nothing. He watches the tv but can't really follow anything. It makes me so sad. I try to involve him in everything that happens but to be honest it's a waste of time. Doesn't stop me trying though.
