Got in the car this morning and car wont start, Car doesn't turn over the display flashes on and off along with the airbag warning and passenger warning lights. windows door locks wont work Etc . clicking from the fuse / relay box . Car is just over 3 year old .

Sounds like an immobiliser problem to me. Do you have breakdown cover?

I think it’s the battery that dead I’ve tried to charge it but it won’t hold a charge at all.

Probably more like an alternator problem. This is one reason, even though I'm a petrol head, why I've never owned an Alfa and probably never will (although I am tempted by a Brera Spyder).

Hi I it turned out to be the battery. Apparently the battery had short-circuited inside one of the cells .the mechanic said this was very unusual. It cost £110.01p to fix which I thought was not bad as far as car repairs go nowadays. Thanks for all your input.

Dusty, if the battery has been on the car for 3 years, contact the Dealers / Makers with notification of what has been said regards the fault, I would question this fault.
