the program freezes after 20 odd secs of encoding...only reply if u have had same prob as i have tried configuring prog 2 many times...thx in advance,pc fine memory etc it just stops responding

I had the same problem with Nero... the way I solved it was to download the latest updates for the program from their website. You may find the same with Roxio.

often its because the AVI/MPEG file was encoded with a cheap codec, so the program struggles with it, try getting the latest updates as mouse said,

But i would seriously think about dropping roxio for Nero, it has alot more features and is more reliable.
