Im thinking of moving to croatia and purchasing a house, does anyone have any friends or relatives that have moved there, and can give me some advice about buying property

Croatia is a beautiful place. Typical mediteranean lifestyle. I moved to Split, in central Dalmatia on the coast about 2 years ago. It was the best move I ever made, I have never been happier. The property is relatively cheap compared to European standards. City property is costlier than houses in the surrounding areas. I would recommend buying a large house on the coast or on one of the islands and renting it out during the summer, the tourist season is very busy in Dalmatia and almost all accomodation is fully booked for the entire summer. Prices for city apartments is about 1,500 Euro per m�. House prices will vary with location.
