Funny you should mention that pastafreak,I too have been "upcycling" most of my life sometimes through necessity and sometimes because I just wanted to,it is not new,it used to be called make do and mend and do not dispose of something which could still be useful,it certainly beats this throw away society we now live in,filling up landfill sites etc.
The part I don't like about this and other similar programmes is they never just "find" this perfect item which will look great with a lick of paint. They will have had a team of researchers scouring the junk shops first. I know they have to make the programme look interesting but let's get real. If you or I went looking for the whole weekend we would probably come back with jack ***.
