Ex, there are many places of interest where you are, LLanberis ( The Electric Mountain) Bethgelet ( Prince Llewellyn and Gellett his dog, Harlech castell, Caernarvon Castle, Chapel Cyrig, you can see the old stage coach on the side of the road that the used to use from Holy Head to London on that road (A5). ( I'm from that area)

hello TWR

i have noted those, thank you

if we can drag the kids away from the pool, we'll certainty go to some of those
Just before you get into Betys-y-Coed from Chapel Cyrigg, on the (A5) there is a house on the Left Hand side of the road called the " Ugly House" there is a fee to go in but well worth a visit, go to the far end of the Village and you will come to the railway station on your left with shops / café, there is also a café on board the train, If you like Mining, there is a slate mine in Blaina Festiniog, abot 15 miles from Betys, it is well worth a visit, from there you can come back via Portmadog, there is a raiway station there with very old trains, what you are doing is a Circular trip that will bring you back via Tremadog>>>> LLanberis. hope the weather holdsfor you all Ex, Enjoy
Excelsior, make sure you get over to Anglesey. Check out Llanddwyn beach and Aberffraw beach. Also, Plas Newydd ( national trust property)is having their Summer Fair on Tuesday. Beautiful house and grounds. Beaumaris is also worth a visit. AND make sure to visit Llanberis for the REAL snowdonia. take a trip in the boat on the lake or train up Snowdon. FAB. Whatever you do and wherever you get to, have fun. x
Oh and if you have kids with you, there's Llechwedd slate caverns - they're brilliant and now they have MASSIVE trampolines I believe. There is also the ZIPWIRE at Bethesda. Well worth going to watch even if you don't fancy doing it yourself. It's SCARY! Have a Google of it!
