Is any of this helping you, sibs? Why are you finding life depressing? Can we help at all?

Hi Sibs, that's not like you, I'm 63 now, which is not old by any standards, and it's just a number, a physical fact, no way am I going to be 63 in any other way, it just doesn't fit in with my plans to grow old disgracefully. Got an Op. due in the next 10 days, not ill, just a bit of maintenance, laid up for a week or three, then up and at 'em! Whatever's getting to you, meet it head-on if you can, let it know you're in charge, things/people can only get to you if you let them (I know parents can be difficult at times) you need to be positive with yourself as well as them and you'll get through it. Good Luck!
I dont find the idea of getting old depressing. I'm 56 now and work with the elderly soi I know what is likely to happen. I think if I am getting to the stage that my life is not worth living, I will stop living, by hook or by crook.

I love life and really just live every day as it comes.
This is for you, Psybbo.

Thank you all. You've cheered me up. I was just sad to see my feisty mother getting slowly weaker and actually being pleasant to me!
It's hard, sibs. ((hugs)) for you xx
You've still got a long way to go to catch up to me (87) and I love life. Not so agile as I once was, but there's still lots I can do and feel thankful I am still here to do them.
