Hi all,

Hope someone can give me some advice. Last year i received a package from US and got a bill from couriers for import duty of £40 which i paid by cheque last June. Since then i have been getting letters and telephone calls from two debt collection agencies threatening to take me to court for unpaid bill even though i phoned and emailed them and sent them a copy of my bank statement and cheque stub.

Last night there were two messages from debt collectors on my phone asking me to call them asap. which i did not do.

Should i just let them take me to court? I am so stressed by this. Any help please.

Phone them and ask if they have the email and bank statement, insist on talking to a supervisor not just person the phone desk.
Have you contacted the original courier and ask why they are sending debt collectors for a debt that can be proved to have been paid?
Get in touch with Raw Deal in the Sunday Post and they will sort them out
