Like Silliemillie I used to buy Smash Hits too for all the words to the latest hits. I can't hear the lyrics as well now so I usually make my own up, but there are some I can remember from school.

I know the words to a lot of songs, the problem is I may not sing them in the right order .........

Yep, I know the words to loads and loads.... the songs of the sixties, mostly by listening to them constantly on the radio and LPs - and then a load of songs I learned from my mother, from her wartime experiences, and a pile of earlier stuff, from a few years taking part in Old Time Music Halls when I lived in the Midlands. I know all sorts - hymns too, again from repetition in our school assemblies every morning, and in our school choir. I love to sing.
