I was reading a recent post I made regards to Bob Dylan and one AB'er said that they had seen him recently and he should retire another disagreed which made me wonder if the person who disagreed had actually saw him live recently.
Who have you seen live were you so impressed did it send shivers all over you OR were you so disappointed that this is the only time you can talk about it.For me

I went to a lot of pop concerts in the early - mid 60's and the best, by far, was Roy Orbison, what a voice. The worst was a late replacement for Billy Fury and that was John Leyton (Johnny Remember Me). I don't think he hit one right note. The one I would have love to have seen live in the 50's was Buddy Holly.

best : rory gallagher, thin lizzy, van halen(supported sabbath in 77) blew em off stage, led zep(cried in parts through the 2 concerts), yes, ufo, sabbath,and many more. oh and rem in a strip club in ´82
worst : susana vega, what a bore, judas priest(i walked out after 15 mins in ´77)

if you go to a live gig, it really doesn't matter who is performing, what the genre is or whether you even like either -

if the performer is competent and enthusiastic about his favoured musical output, and the venue is sympathetic to it, you'll probably enjoy it.

Best gig ever was 1966 performance on Hastings Pier by The Who.

Explosive both literally and metaphorically.

Best festival gig was the 4 days at the end of August 1970 @ Isle of Wight.

Performers included The Doors, Hendrix, Family, Free, Joni Mitchell, Miles Dvis, Sly and the Family Stone, John Sebastian, Ten Years After, The Who, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Procol Harum, Kris Kristofferson, Chicago and 25 other acts.

Ticket price was £3 for the 4 days!
