...run by the city council?
The Ulster Hall, proposed venue for 'An evening with George Galloway', has heard some blood curdling speeches over the years. Why should he be banned?

It is a commercial venture, and somebody may be a fan of George Galloway. Can't really ban him, unless the Ulster City Councillors dislike Galloway's recent outpourings about banning Israelis from Bradford etc. Personally I hope no-one turns up and he will be left with the hump - like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. He is a nasty snivelling excuse for a man.
yes, don't believe in censorship.

If the Unionists want him banned that should be enough for Sinn Fein to leap to the defence of free speech and say he should speak.
But he does a mean pussy cat !!!

Oh I don't know,Murraymints. When I go cycling wearing mine I'm surprised at the amount of attention I attract.
Ah but sandy do you hear what they are saying???

The Tour de France brought out cyclists with new bikes and all the gear, the poor tubby little chap I saw with his family jewels encased in tight lycra trying to adjust himself by the roadside, was in pain.
The still on TonyAv's contribution I swearis -
Gorgeous George - looking for pussy.

Yes i think he should have the privilege of free speech
Question Author
He's said to be indefatigable in pursuit of it.
Question Author
Not free speech, the other.
Galloway always reminds me of the late Tony Benn. Both seem(ed) to delight in offending almost anybody apart from their small band of fervent left-wing supporters. I remember that at the time of the Falklands crisis Benn, who as a peace-loving socialist was more than happy to deliver the islands to a right wing vicious junta, repeatedly referred to them in his speeches by their Argentinian name(Malvinas), rather than the name they were known by here.

I have no time or truck with such folk.
Don't see why he shouldnt speak.Tickets evidently gone like hotcakes so there are many who want to see him.Might be the odd missile mind when he arrives!
This man is a complete pillock but that isn't a reason to have him banned. In fact, if he is allowed to perform in public, I think it will just spread the word of his inate pillockness even more quickly !

Purr, purr !
Fans of Tony Benn, and I count myself in that group, will be appalled that he should be compared to this pillock. What an offensive remark !
Confirmed that this event is going ahead....
