rsi?
10 Answers
Hi, I have been experiencing slight pains in my right wrist recently. I do a lot of data input on a computer at work, and this appears to trigger it. Is this classed as RSI? A friend said there would be some swelling or something if it was. Not sure what to do about it, as I have to input data as part of my job, but I am worried about my wrist.

There is an elastic bandage thing in Boots which I think is for sports injuries but I find if I wear that then it really helps. There are rules and regulations which your employer should be following, although most don't . .about breaks and things .. but it doesn't hurt to read them, you will find them probably on the website of the Health and Safety Executive somewhere. It is not a thing to mess about with though because it can lead to some quite bad problems in the future, the key is to catch it early and get it rested, and your employer has a duty to ensure this, even if it meant putting you on another task for a while .....
