(sorry not a question)...^^^ since my daughter and son-in-law started the adoption process. Today is the day that we've all dreamt about, they have a son and we have our first grandson. Now typical for me I've got a flu bug type thing and can't meet him :-(

The son and daughter in law of a really good friend of mine adopted a 16 month old little boy in march, and are currently awaiting his 9 month old sister who has been in foster care since she was born.
I know how this has transformed all their lives, I'm sure it will be the same for all of your family x

I'm so sorry but I can't give his name out, I just don't know who might recognise him, he's not having a change of name and there is a reason...
We had a nephew who my brother and SIL adopted as a baby, he was killed age 23. Anyway.. when my daughter and son-in-law first met their soon to be son we remarked that he had the same name as my nephew, we said what a coincedence that was and thought nothing more of it until we found out baby's birthday - yes they were the same too. That was it! His names would stay the same. On hearing about this my big brother (72 and dad to the lad that died) cried and said "He's been sent from above"

My bro and his wife made three adoptions - the first always takes the longest.
You are quite right to keep details confidential - the adoption-powers-that-be are ridiculously pernickety (yet sometimes leave yawning gaps in other important areas).
I wish you and your daughter/son-in-law every happiness with the new arrival.
