My gran is 91 next week and we are all totally stumped as to what to give her so hoping I could get some fresh ideas from the helpful folk on here. The main problem is, she doesn't like very much these days so -she doesn't want plants or flowers, she's got plenty of artificial plants, she doesn't want ornaments, doesn't like candles , not mad about chocolates, gets plenty of family photos throughout the year and has a kindle already. There's not much left to choose from!

To add to your challenge; things I can get online would be appreciated as I've got Labyrinthitis at the moment so , amusing as it may be, I don't fancy staggering sideways through the shops leaving a trail of destruction.

Thanks in advance.

Bring cake - it's essential to my recovery :-)

I'm working on the principle that if I can't stand up straight while sober then I might be better off drunk.
Buy the DVD, worth watching Robbie Williams in de lovely.

Sorry tamborine but Robbie Williams makes my flesh crawl - you can have him all to yourself. Then again, I like Benedict Cumberbatch so that doesn't say much for my taste in men.

After all these nice ideas, gran has announced today that she would like a new microwave!

Oh well, better to get her something useful I suppose.

Remember to ask her what she would like for her 92nd.

Nearly needed it last year, scrivens, when I put 90 candles on her cake. It took six of us to light them all and the smoke alarm went off when she blew them out :-). All the children helped blow them out as she didn't have enough puff.

She's from Shotts, twr, a mining village in Central Scotland :-). Not sure where you've picked up an Asian connection from. However a book of the history of the area may be appreciated. Thank you for your good wishes :-).
Yinyang, Your name, sorry about that.

It's quite alright, twr. Yin and yang were the names of my two cats - now sadly both gone after many happy years with them.

it depends how much you want to spend on her really
but my grandma really likes pretty vintage things and china tea cups
so you could get her a pretty china tea set .

here is a link for a big set on amazon (it is quite expensive tho) Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

if you would like something like one of these but you don't like the designs or something like that just search into amazon or any other website "bone china tea-set"

Too late Ellzloves. Birthday was in August.
